Cannabis Fights Opioid Crisis

Cannabis Fights Opioid Crisis

by deliciously Dee

March 15th, 2017 went down in history for me ...

The state of Nevada - Senate Bill 228 (S.B. No. 228) - Committee on Health & Human Services was addressed.  My partner Dr. Andrea Small-Howard and I of #GBSciences attended and spoke on the support of this bill.

This bill "authorizes the issuance of a registry identification card or letter of approval to engage in the medical use of marijuana for patients who suffer from opioid addiction." It was also stated Nevada to have the recommendation given by the patients general practitioners as well as MMJ care givers. čś│

Some of you may not know, I lost my sister 8 years ago to a methadone overdose.  It was the hardest time of my life.  I won't ever forget her constant struggle, the pain she was in,  nor the effects it had on our family, loved ones, or myself.

THIS IS A HUGE STEP for the plant and our country - its "actually being considered" to use MMJ to wean patients off of their opioids to a safer form of treatment - cannabis. If y'all didn't know that has been frowned on and looked over by EVERY PHYSICIAN and our government since the prohibition of 1936.  (I mean cannabis is a drug right - a rehab no no) -- A dear friend of mine, Dr. Timothy Beckett  I know has a procedure in their practice of Valley Center for Cannabis Therapy that addresses the opioid use with CBD treatment and we are beyond happy it is has NOW been brought to state level attention!

I'm so honored to be with my partners and to research such an amazing plant that changes lives for so many - including my own.

Birth name Danielle Russell, friends and colleagues call her Dee.  Dee has been making medibles or medicinal edibles with cannabis from 2006 to present.  In 2014 she published the first edition of her cannabis cookbook, The Happy Chef THC, including hip-hop album “The Prescription” from hip-hop artist and MMJ patient B-Real of Cypress Hill. The year 2015 was the year of legalization for medical marijuana for the state of Nevada.  Dee worked as a Canna Chef in the first licensed MMJ Production Kitchen in the state of Nevada located in the fabulous city of Las Vegas - she still continues to make her edibles for the patients in the state today.

Are edibles not your thing?  Maybe you had a bad edible cannabis experience?  Eat too much or not enough - trouble dosing?  Or - perhaps you enjoy cooking with the plant and/or have an interest in joining the cannabis industry as a Canna Chef in an MMK Production Lab.  In with case, HER LATEST CANNA COOKBOOK IS THE ONE YOU NEED!!  Check out her latest EXPERT CANNABIS COOKBOOK - Deliciously Dee The Happy Chef Expert Cannabis Cookbook.  (available on Amazon & iBooks)
